• Option 4 is of the table
• Options 1, 2, 3 are still on the table
• Awaiting legislative action for option 1 or 3 to move forward

• We are going to start small and try out EdFi to those willing
• We will listen to your feedback and try to continually improve
• If it works out, it will eventually be the required reporting process
• 🥕 First iteration to remove the need for student/staff matching process

• The hope is this won't cost you anything(because they've already done this for other states)

Better Tools/Reporting

• Student and staff matching/id's are seamlessly handled behind the scenes for you
• Ability to transfer student data between SU's via state
• Web interface to ensure folks are entering their data corectly.
• We hope to develop the ability to notify SU staff directly about missing data issues.
• Teacher portals for students showing assessment and other information

How ⁉

• State releases the requirements and we notify SIS vendor, giving them about a year to get set up
• We'll release new requirements each year as needed. Your vendor will conform to these changes.
• You'll have about a year of warning for new requirements.
• This summer/fall we hope to release a dev api for SIS vendors to develop off of.

📅 Each Year

Starting in July 2022:

• State gives SU's a login and an api url/endpoint to configure your SIS.
• Each year, in July, State will issue you unique login and url for the coming school year.
• State will keep 3 years of API's up so data can be updated/corrected.
